Female arrested for racial abuse towards children in College Grove |

Dear Resident,
On Saturday 25th October at 2.30 pm, police officers from Wakefield Central NPT East attended a report of ongoing racial abuse towards a group of young children by a female outside Lightwaves Leisure Centre in College Grove.
Upon police arrival, the female had left the area, however after viewing the CCTV footage of the incident, officers were able to identify the suspect. At 8am on Sunday, NPT officers attended the home address of the suspect where they located the clothing that she had been wearing at the time of the incident as seen on CCTV, the female was arrested on suspicion of committing a Racially Aggravated Public Order Act 1984. The suspect was interviewed and bailed for further enquiries, with strict conditions not to return to the College Grove area for three months while enquiries continue.
